Multi-instrumentalist from Floyd County, Virginia who won the Clifftop fiddle contest in 2025, the same year his string band the New Floyd County Ramblers took first in the traditional band contest. He holds a master’s in music performance from Yale, apprenticed under National Heritage Award recipient Eddie Bond through the Virginia Folklife Program, and served as the first Artist-in-Residence for the Crooked Road, Virginia’s heritage music trail. He fronts the bluegrass band the Alum Ridge Boys and Ashlee and plays old-time country as a duo with Ashlee Watkins.
